gosh it's dark in here.
Just trying anything to get in contact with someone. My significant other is a huge Greg Brown fan and I so wanted to surprise him with tickets to Greg's concert at The Cedar on Friday, April 15th. Howard, my significant other, had a massive heart attack on January 5 of this year and survived 96 minutes of CPR (having no pulse during these 96 minutes, you may have heard of this on the news at the beginning of March) with amazingly no neurologic deficit but quite a bit of heart damage. Now 11 days ago he has undergone quadruple bypass surgery and is home ready to start his cardiac rehab. He also still has a hip replacement to go through yet this summer.
Now my request...is there any way I could get two tickets to the concert at The Cedar, this Friday April 15th to suprise Howard? I believe this would totally lift his spirits as he has been a Greg Brown fan for many, many years. I would love to surprise him! I could totally be dreaming here but thought I would try.
Thank you so much!
love the new site.... how bout some guitar chords for some of the new songs..... peace...
Listening to the upcoming release on the No Depression website right now! So good. Just caught the recent show in Berkeley and I'm glad a lot of the songs played there made it onto this album. I thought I would be lucky to here Greg play "Let the Mystery Be" again. Turns out I will hear it whenever I want. Tenderhearted Child is another amazing song. Great release Greg! This is going to be happily recieved by your fans and reach out to many new ones. By the way if you read this,my clawhammer is coming along horribly. I'm just going to stick to pickin' around.
Hey Cool site... I love the morning glory picture. Just wanted to say Thank you.... Most recently I saw you perform at the Highline Ballroom in February 2010. It was about a week after I lost my amazing grandmother. Several years before I brought her to see you at the Getty in LA, she really enjoyed your music, and especially loved "Canned Goods". You played it that night and it was a healing for me. Hearing you play is always a life affirming experience. Thanks for the music...
Great site Greg! Hope to see you play soon.
Hi Greg, Great to see the site. Cant wait for the new "unit" Hope you can make it back over to Ireland soon.
Peace and bubbles!
The site looks tight - great work and can't wait to see and hear more!
(P.S. Too bad I didn't get that photo with you in Bezerkeley a couple weeks ago.)
The site looks good, Greg. Nice work. We look forward
to seeing and hearing what you offer-up in the future.
Just keep some time aside to keep giving us the songs
for as long as you can. Thanks for everything......
Just wanted to say thank you for all of the music. My 10 and 7 year old love your music too. At this time their favorite song is "the wall". Also I wanted you to know that your "live One" was a turning point in my listening style. My husband and I enjoyed many a friday night talking and having a beer or two while your music played in the background. Now that he has left this world I can still have the memories of all the good conversations we had. Your disc will forever stay in that old 5 disc changer in the garage. Thank you again. I look forward to catching a show again. Maybe bringing some newcomers and opening them up to your wonderful music.
